Do what you love, love what you do.

Every life has challenges, and every challenge creates growth. The road I have been traveling over the past year has been unbelievable. I completed my Masters degree, moved across the country, got an amazing job, got married, moved across the state, bought a house, lost said job, and here I am. This blog is an experiment to focus my interests and passion, and to expand my horizons. I truly hope to use this blog as a learning tool to get to know myself better. I know what I like, but I don’t know what I love. Career coaching tells us that if you love what you do, then it’s not really work. “Do what you love, love what you do.” I have spent 22 out of the last 23 years of my life in school; diligently studying; focusing my skills. I want to make sure that I’m passionate about what I do – that my career reflects my goals, my principles, my joie de vivre.

This will be a mish-mash of culinary adventure, garden beds, interior decoration, career building, family, and spiritual exploration. And anything else that catches my fancy. Like puppies and high fashion.

So tell me, friends and neighbors, how do you know when you’ve found the “right” job? Has anyone changed careers completely? Did it work?
